— step-by-step

Workers Lifecycle

We care about you on every step of our cooperation.

1 / Onboarding

- First working day. Welcome to the team of Axonians! HR Manager and Chapter Lead handle your onboarding to join Axon smoothly. You meet the team, receive personalized swag, and set up all accesses for corporate accounts and devices.

- First week. You complete all legal and accounting documents, dive into the work responsibilities, and get acquainted with main policies and procedures. At the end of the week, you’ll have a small check-up with the HR Manager.

- First month. The HR Manager schedules a personal call to summarize your experience with the team and manager.

2 / Probation review

Such a deep professional evaluation from your Lead helps us to set up your project and company goals for the next 6-12 months. Performance review is always an open dialogue, so feel free to communicate with your Lead about all the details you`re interested in to boost your professional growth.

Nastia, PHP Сhapter Lead

"Don't be afraid to ask questions and try coding. It's addictive!"

Nastia joined Axon more than 3 years ago as a junior developer. She was attracted by teamwork and the division of responsibility between members, so you can focus on one area. She admits that she was looking for a company that offered mentoring.

- What is the easiest part of being a PHP engineer for you?🏄
- It's the process of writing code: when you have a task and you have an understanding of how to implement it.

- And the hardest part? 📑
- It's high-quality technical documentation and detailed task descriptions. I also don't like floating bugs when you don't understand what's going on.

For the last year, Nastia has been mentoring a team of PHP developers. She likes to be involved in different stages of the project and development processes.

Alina, UX/UI designer

“The most challenging thing in my work? To make fancy designs and not be killed by developers”

- It’s your first workplace ? 💻
- Yes, I joined the company as a Trainee UI/UX Designer just after successfully finishing highly specialized courses. Then I was gaining skills and experience under my Chapter Lead mentorship and was promoted to Junior UI/UX Designer after passing the trainee program.

- Did you get along with the team quickly? 🤝
- I got along with my team very quickly. Every team member was and is an open person and was ready to help me anytime I needed.

- What do you like most about being a UI/UX designer? 🎨
- I like to create UI/UX solutions to challenging tasks, where you need to meet client requirements along with aligning them with some platform restrictions.

- What do you dislike about your work? 🙄
- I think like every designer, sometimes I don’t like lot’s of edits, but actually getting the feedback helps you to master your professionalism. And as a consequence, edits are your growth point.

“Mentorship, use of modern technologies, colleagues support - that's what you get at the Axon Trainee Program”

- Did you have any experience in IT before the Axon Trainee program? 💻
 - No experience. A year before the program, I started taking online Java courses and reading books at the same time.

- Was it easy to find a common language with the team? 🙌
- The Axon team is open. I found a common language with my colleagues right away, because they always helped me, explained what I didn't understand... even if I had to explain it more than once 😀

- What advantages of the program can you highlight? ⭐
- The support of mentors was important to me, as well as the opportunity to work with modern technologies.

- What prospects do you see for yourself in Axon? 🎯
- During the Trainee program, I have upgraded both hard and soft skills. I am sure that working at Axon I will be able to reach a high professional level.

Max,
Java Engineer

"Everything is much easier than you think, the main thing is to act!"

🤓 Since childhood, Max has been interested in technology, especially IT. That's why the answer to the question "What do you want to become when you grow up?" was obvious.

💻 Max has been working at Axon for more than 2 years. The decisive factors for him when accepting the offer were a serious approach to development and a strong backend team.

💪 Now his biggest motivation is his colleagues who demonstrate professionalism in their work.

📚 Max considers PHP to be the best tool for developing online products. He likes to create something new and see the result right away. However, he admits that he would like to communicate more with people and is considering moving further into management or mentoring.

"Take the initiative and be interested even in those things on the project that doesn't concern you."

💻 Max's childhood passion for computers and games has grown into a real love of technology.

📚 At university, Max decided to learn Java, and for 5 years at Axon, he has been improving his skills and growing professionally.

🧩 The project where he had the opportunity to not only write most of the backend, take part in solving engineering problems, but also manage a development team was decisive for Max. It was then that he realized he was ready for mentoring.

🤝 Max's biggest motivation is positive feedback from clients, projects with new ideas, and, of course, the progress of the Java engineers he mentors.

Katya, Business Analyst

“Identifying the true business need, combining incompatible requirements and looking for compromise solutions - it means to be a BA”

- Why did you decide to become a BA? 😎
- It happened spontaneously: I wanted to change my job. I found out about an internship position and decided to take a chance, to adapt my previous experience to the IT sector. The risk turned out to be justified - I love my job 😀

- Do you agree with the statement that a business analyst is a translator between business and IT? 💬
- A business analyst is not only a translator, but also a psychologist and a bit of a mentalist. Sometimes you need to guess the client's needs in advance, to have answers to questions from developers that have not yet been asked.

- Any advice for those who want to be BAs? 💫
- Monitor different systems in search of good and successful solutions, listen to experienced colleagues, and remember that each person needs an individual approach.

- How long have you been working at Axon? 🗓️
- Almost 2 years

- It’s your first workplace? 💼
- Yes, it's my first job.

- Did you get along with the team quickly? ✌️
- It was surprisingly easy to get along with the team. Everyone is very friendly and open to help or advice in any situation.

- What do you like most about being a QA engineer? ⚙️
- Ask questions. There is always something to ask and learn.

- What is the most challenging thing in your work? 🤔
- One of the most difficult parts is to visualize future features before development along with their consequences on the system.

Yulia, React.js Engineer

“Axon Trainee Program is about feeling comfortable and interested, developing your abilities, and becoming better.”

- Did you have any experience in IT? 💁
- At the beginning of the program, I was in my 3rd year of studying Computer Engineering. In my free time I practiced, created various pet projects and studied theory.

- Did you prepare for the interview? ✊
- Just before the interview, I repeated the theoretical questions that I thought I might be asked.

- Was it easy to find a common language with experienced developers? 💻
- Yes, everyone in my team was as friendly and helpful as possible. At first, it was awkward to ask questions or suggest something, but this fear quickly passed.

- What did you remember most about the training? 📚
- The most memorable thing was how "heady" it was at first: new technologies to get acquainted with, memorize the business logic of the project, and join a new team.

Anna Content Manager photoAnna Content Manager tag
Anna Content Manager photo

Anna Sursaieva, Content Manager

“Be fast and furious to keep up with the world.”

- It’s your first workplace as a content manager? 🎓
- Exactly as a content manager - yes. Before that, I worked as a creative copywriter and marketing specialist, and now I am focused on the content branch of marketing.

- Did you get along with the team quickly? 🙌
- Yes, our team has a friendly atmosphere and, at the same time, a well-developed culture of clear tasks. So the onboarding was perfect and quick. And, in marketing, there’s no time to slow down 🏄

-What do you like most about working in a software dev company in content creation? 💻
- Both software development and content creation require keeping your finger on the pulse of the industry. Also, when I'm creating content, I feel like a "translator" bridging the gap between the company and the clients. I like finding new ways (and words) to properly convey the company’s value to the world.
